The only way to rotate is around the end which goes to the air filter, as that cannot really be moved to far. The CAI can be anywhere in the front, the HAI has to be coming from the exhaust manifold.
I removed a piece of the stock intake and roughly fit the t-stat WAI in its place:
Not bad. The engine side will need a rubber adaptor, the CAI nozzle may be moved a few cm, but the HAI will get chopped. I have to devise a metal ending that will bolt to the manifold.

I am not familiar with how different the combustion process of LPG is (compared to petrol), but I assume that it would benefit from warmer intake air. And the reason a t-stat WAI is better than a straight hot air intake is that the air is not too hot, so knocking is not a problem.
