Hey all, new to the site. looking into getting a CRX over here in Ireland and ecomodding it, sadly no HF's were sold in any european country(as far as I can tell), so my work is cut out for me.

I'm presently torn between doing a (HF)D15b6 engine swap into the stock CRX's running around here, which come with the crappy D15B1, or swapping the (Civic VX)D15z1 engine into it, which I've read some on this site have had fairly good success with. Even in the adirondack montains competition!

The winner of that competition achieved 118 mpg with mostly aeromods on a stock CRX HF while 3rd place was ~80 mpg in a CRX with the Civic VX engine swapped in.

I'm curious if Ben's red CRX(VX) that scored 3rd place couldn've achieved the HF's 118 mpg also with the very same aeromods & low resistance tires that Chang Ho Kim implemented?
