Ya know what?

This thread, in particular the image with the red pick-up truck illustrates the creeping progress of aerodynamics on vehicle design.

A subtle thing at times, we just don't get the time to acknowledge the progress into the mainstream mindset.

In short, here's what happened to me yesterday, coming towards me on the road I see this late model full sized pick-up truck, but it's sporting an old boxy cap over the bed.

It just looked ridiculous, and at one time this was the norm.

In fact, I could not even find an appropriate image for this observation (so rare now-a-days) when I did a Google image search, I was forced to sketch it up by hand.
