You mention getting 23 MPG city, but then go on to say that you need greater than 40 MPG highway. Does that mean you recently had to start commuting long distance?

Tell us more about what your typical driving will look like and how much longer distance you will be doing, along with your cargo needs.

Is your primary concern to lower your total cost of ownership, reduce gasoline consumption (environmental/political reasons), increase reliability...
