I once nearly passed out in my car, locked in a traffic jam, downwind from some diesel car.
I closed the windows and set the vents to recirculation, but it was too late. I tried opening the windows on the left, right, both, but nothing helped; I was in the perfect wrong spot.
It got so bad that I was about to leave the car when the traffic got moving again and allowed me to breathe.

It was just a car, and not very old one too!
I felt sorry for having owned a diesel car too.

Anyone NOT pushing for a diesel ban is an ideologically blindfolded (or gasmasked?) fillinyourfavouritehatedpoliticalparty!

Fact is, diesel cars do not have to meet the same stringent emission standards as gasoline cars, because if they had to they'd all fail.
Why do we have to put up with a whole fleet of cars that would fail gasoline emissions tests by a large margin?
So even if they make up less that 10% of overall pollution, why put up with that if it can be brought down to just 1% by banning diesels altogether?
