Look up stealth warp on Priuschat. It's a version of pulse and glide where you accelerate, then back off allowing the engine to shut off, and then repeat again. I believe it works up to about 44 MPH. The engine runs all the time beyond that speed.

Other than that, the normal driving rules apply of timing lights and paying attention to traffic.

My 2200 mile road trip from Portland, Oregon to Zion, UT, to the Grand Canyon and through Vegas and back averaged 52 MPG. Utah has sections of 80 MPH highway that I traveled at 78 MPH.
