Nice.

How will you activate it ? An R/C servo ? A remote switch ?
Air power ?

I imagine you could have some NACA ducts that feed air back there and activate the extension when you reach a good speed. A spring could bring the assembly back as you slow .

Edit : Aerohead, if you are out there and see this, would a few NACA ducts provide enough air to propel the extension back ?
