Not just snow, even heavy rain can become a PITA.
That's why I've been considering to get a motorcycle and a side-car. Even though my dog is small and could eventually fit into a topcase similar to the kinda oversized ones used by motorcycle couriers (known as "motoboys") in my country, it wouldn't be neither safe or comfortable.
