Why acetone in gasoline doesn't work to improve fuel mileage.
1) it has lower energy content than gasoline per volume.
2) it lowers the octane rating (it used to be used as a winter time diesel fuel additive to aid in starting).
3) it can eat fuel lines and plastic parts thus causing leaks.
