Lots of cool possibilities here I am a bit biased to the Centurion. The Centurion resembles a Bricklin mostly but some people mistake it also for the Delorean. The Centurion is not a true kit car as it is really a build it yourself car. The body shell is hand built per plans and bolted to a lightweight Triumph Spitfire chassis. The drivetrain uses mostly stock Triumph parts with the exception of the engine. The Triumph gasser is replaced with the common Kubota diesel 3 cylinder engine. This combo can yield incredible fuel economy well over the coveted 100mpg figure. Due to the many custom parts available for the spitfires these cars can be built up to be extremely light weight think under 1,000 lbs
There are also quite a few engine options with turbos for better performance. There are only a handful of these cars in the world how many exactly is unknown. I personally know of 4. Centurion #3 is owned by CJ a member of this site and Centurion #4 is owned by myself. The original is in California available for sale and the second is in the lane motor museum in Tenessee. There has been talk of another in New York but yet to be verified. Centurion #3 for two straight years has achieved over 200mpg in the Toyota Green Grand Prix the only street legal freeway capable car I know of to put up such figures. This gives you an idea of what is possible with an ecomodded Centurion
