I saw some folks that were living in a neat little tour bus in the 70s or 80s. Wish I could remember the name of it.
Bigger than a VW camper, it was egg shaped with chrome framing around the side windows and observation windows. It had a 4-cylinder diesel in the back, with dual rear tires and the shotgun seat folded up to allow ingress/egress.
Ring any bells?
They were struggling to hang curtains in that thing.
