I own a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis and get 28 to 30 MPG all the time running at 65 MPH.
I CAN get 33 to 35 MPG at 65 MPH by leaning the A/F ratio out to 16.5. Problem is a fair lost of power at that A/F Ratios.
I am using a pair of Zeitronix wide band O2 A/F monitors which have to ability to emulate narrow band O2 which includes the ability to adjust the A/F Ratios.
Sadly this change is made by a Laptop computer and one bank a time making it not at all user friendly..
I keep looking into finding a way to make this change automatic like the lean burn cruse program found in the CPU of third gen Camaros which gave THEM up to 35 MPG in a 1985 to 1990 Camaros.
So far all other changes have failed to make any change in MPG and I have tried a few.
These MPG figures have been tested and retested many times.
