You can't EOC (engine off coast) with a automatic transmission. The engine needs to be running in order to supply ATF from the internal pump to all the rotating parts so they don't burn up from lack of lubrication.

You can however EOC (engine on coast) and still get great MPG numbers.

I'm not going to install a kill switch on my mustang (automatic) mainly because I'm not going to Eco mod it much more. I am going to install it on my swift (manual) though 😜
