Time for me to chime in after a long absence from these forums...

I have been working diligently on combining my old and rusty 1967 Firebird Convertible with a 2014 Prius V I purchased salvage with a crushed roof due to a roll-over. These cars have the same wheelbase, same tread width, and same tire diameter, which gave me the idea to begin with.

I am to the point now that the Firebird body is sitting on the Prius V chassis awaiting Spring weather to arrive so I can resume working on it. This spring, the body comes off for sand blasting and final adjustments prior to being welded to the chassis.

I am sort-of blogging my project over at the Prius Chat at this url:
The Hybrid Convertible Project Prius v | PriusChat

I would welcome input on my project. If desired, I can also start a new thread here to post progress reports.
