That sucks! That's a failure mode I've never heard of before.
That's pretty much how I've been driving, although I'm running 35psi (which I think is the recommended pressure). I managed 65mpg on my commute the other day, so I'm improving I guess.
And thanks, I'll give it a look. I wonder how much extra it would cost on my insurance...
