I once told a neighbor "my car will go 40 miles per hour on the same fuel your's consumes sitting still idling".

That was 40 mph on .5 gallons per hour versus his V8 pickup sitting still idling at .5 gallon per hour, with no additional accessories running.

Also as an ex racer, you have been absorbed into the efficiency infastructure. From now on you will only think about getting the maximum work out of every molecule of fuel you use.

At 128 mpg you are going 1 mile on one ounce of fuel. My best was 170 mpg on a 1965 Honda 50. 128/170 ounce per mile.
