Whole salvage smart cars seem to sell for very little.

I have an odd car that has some rather terrible issues that are very simple but no parts exist to address. (mid engine RWD)

I remember seeing someone take a full smartcar and remove the motor with cradle as a means of putting a motor under something else.

Does anyone remember who or where that was?

I am looking for examples and what all had to be pulled to make it happy.

There are a variety of oddities I can think of that would benefit from a 1 liter mid engine setup that just goes under the car.

I also imagine the 800cc diesel out of Canadia would be an amazing diesel swap for many antiques.
