I used to live in a little red cabin in the woods, next to a shed with about 1/8th acre of corrugated roof. It was like a water chime, I looked forward to the rain.
Now I live under a 1 1/2" thick flat aluminum roof w/ a membrane overlay. Muffled a little, it an audio rain gauge.
