To get payment from Big Brother they had to prove that the engine was destroyed. Shredding and melting came later. I still have 4 Geo Metro convertibles, one daily driver, one Kubota powered car in storage, a nice 93 in need of a clutch, and the 93 that my son totalled several times that barely runs. I have lived long enough to see that even junkers are worth something many years later....

In Ma's garage is my grandmothers 1964 Chevy Impala station wagon with 34,000 original miles. We almost sold it for $300 in 1973 when gramma died. Next to it is Dad's 1950 Chevy panel truck. It will run if you put in a 6 volt battery and fresh gas. It might be worth more than the $150 Pop was asking for it back in the day.... I'm waiting until Metro Convertibles hit $50K so I will be able to buy groceries and new hearing aid batteries for a week. Ahhh...the future!
