Drivers will still be needed, just not as many OTR drivers. Really not that much different than containerized rail freight where rail cars are doubled stacked, sorted to geographical region, delivered and then reloaded on a truck to reach their final destination.

Conrail, is a example.

Currently, computers do have limitations. However, they're getting better all the time.

Good or bad, AI is coming whether we like it or not.
