It may look like some sort of "poor man's Corvair", but it's a Brazilian version of the Volkswagen Type 3 notchback sedan. The wheelcovers are from the Ford Fiesta and the "donkey ass" taillights from the Chevrolet Opala. Popular nicknames for this model were "Coffin Joe" and "soap dish", but some folks still call it incorrectly "4-door Beetle".

And a Brazilian Type 3 TL. There was no Type 4 in Brazil, but the local Type 3 had some of its styling cues and the 4-door versions which were unavailable for the German Type 3.
