Having used both the ScanGauge and the Torque Pro, I'd have to say that the ScanGauge has an advantage due to the fact it does not need a tablet or smartphone to work.

However, the Torque Pro is much more customizable, and there are other apps out there that will allow you to gain access to your vehicle far above and beyond what the ScanGauge can offer.
