that book seems handy tho.
My Vaz has a separate immobilizer box that hardcodes itself in the BOSCH MP7 ECU's EEPROM unit.
Change the immobilizer, Ecu doesn't accept the start signal.
Change to different ECU, you still need the immobilizer paired with that particular ECU.
Only way to have the car start w/o immobiliser is to change the EEPROM chip in the old ECU or have a completely new ecu but the immobilizer signal must be cut off so it doesn't hardcode itself
