You're right! I'm guilty myself. Sometimes I'll put the lunch box in the F150 bed just so's I feel like I'm making use of the 6.5' bed.
But Honda PS recommends not hauling lumber longer than 4' even with a red flag stapled to the end and the tailgate down. So I guess I still really need my 4-wheel pickup now and then. Bummer! Maybe I should wait for the long bed with a slightly lower payload capacity or "go big" and get the .25-ton long bed with the 1000 cc motor that's currently in the African Twin. It's a decision I'll have to make when the other versions come out, as most times, the .125-ton is plenty of pickup for 90% of my uses
