Agreed, but your comment of "It's here" was in response to my statement of "Doom is around the corner".

That seems to imply death, apocalypse, or some calamity of proportions never seen before.

I could be convinced our impending annihilation through uncontrolled AI, terrorist introduced disease, wackos with nukes, terrorist robots, genetic weapons, etc. Global warming, bottled water, and neighbors being packed 10ft away from your house in the suburbs isn't gonna put us over the brink.

If you heard something bad in the news, you're probably safe from it. By definition, news reports on the uncommon; not the common.
