Yes. It is a thing that holds up the glove box when opened (glove box damper). There should be a couple plastic parts on the right outside of the glove box that it attaches to. Those parts are easily broken and the dealer/repair site just throws that part in the glove box rather than own up to their breakage and doing the repair. I chose to not make the repair on the Tacoma. I'll add a video that shows where it is located on the side of the glove box on the Tacoma.
