To start out, you guys rock! I have learned so much about my car from you guys. I have owned 2 and now a 3rd vx. Love em!
So, to business, I just picked this one up, and had some work to do to it but so far it's ok. But I was driving it home and it was running high rpm in 5th gear. I calculated it out and I think when the guy has the tranny rebuilt, they rebuilt it with DX gears

I am at 3000rpm @ 70mph
2600rpm@60mph
So there is a used drivetrain my local salvage out of a vx...
Based on what I found, the vx trans should be at 2375rpm@70mph.
Based on your guys wisdom, am I coming to the correct conclusion?
What would you guys suggest to remedy this problem?
