Going back to the degrees of advance info... I tried to purchase a custom sprocket from 3T but they haven't responded to my two emails...

So, for all of you out there who want to advance your cam for free here's the how to...

My factory cam gear has 40 teeth...
360 degrees divided by 40 teeth = 9degrees per tooth

So with ALL timing markings in the correct locations, I've made a new marking 1 tooth offset towards the direction of rotation (advance). This is now my "NEW" timing mark for the cam sprocket only, crank remains in TDC position.

Then I removed the belt and aligned cam sprocket with the "NEW" timing position for an effective cam advance of +/- 9 degrees... for FREE

IF ANYONE HAS ANY VALID REASONS WHY THIS IS INCORRECT... SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE
