I've noticed rust stains that go down the rear drivers side quarter panel below the filler door. It seemed to originate inside the door around the filler port, but really only rust stains there too. When I peeled away the interior trunk material I can see a disappointing amount of crusty rust inside the car in that area. It's not readily accessible either as a sheet metal bracket is there to support the filler port and two sheets of metal curve together in a way that makes it hard to get anything at all in there. Hard to explain. I'll post pictures after the Wifey brings the car back after work.

I hate rust. It has killed my cars before. Any thoughts? Is this a typical spot for a Honda to get rust?

Is it possible for water to get there? I wonder if the back window had a leak if it could drip there.
