For the most part, same tire narrower = greater rolling resistance. Go wide for summer, stock or slightly narrower for winter if in the snow belt IMO. Tire choice is more important than size.
Have a pair of Nokian Entyres in the mail to give them a try before winter, doubt I will see a MPG change but want to give them a try anyway.
