The Duramax tows this so much better, never felt like I was taxing the engine like I was with the Tacoma. My daily commute I was averaging 20 mpg with the Tacoma and the Colorado averages 27.
So far so good, now figure out how to get the towing up to 20 and the daily up to 30. I would say you were doing good with the Taco at 20, if you can drive that easy I would have hoped for the Duramax to hit 30 as most people beat the EPA with a diesel. The towing increase is pretty substantial, maybe 20 is asking too much. Welcome aboard!
