Does the defroster run the AC? I had to use it a few times on my recent road trip and it felt like it loaded the engine a bit... I know every car I've ever owned prior does. Maybe I can pull an AC fuse or something?
Anywho, on thing I recall doing after reading the cat liter thing is that I had a sock that I filled with silica gel beads. These can be found in just about anything shipped these days. A lot of boxed furniture and what not. Fill the sock, throw it on the dash. Gonna have to do that again when I get home!
