Yeah I liked the ones on the UFO, but I only took a good look at them one time when I re-painted them.
What I didn't know was that there was a thread where he described how he made them, thanks for linking that. But the attachments (as shown in the thread) must not have been durable because when I worked on it there was a bungee cord locking one in place.
In any case, this leaves me inspired.

Where can I buy sheet aluminum? They used to sell it at Home Depot (like 10 years ago) but nowadays all they have is really thin flashing stuff.
