Yes... The benefits are the same as winter, easyer starting, takes less fule to reach operating temp. I use my factory block heater in summer some times (when I realize that I am going somewhere early enough )

My truck will reach aprox 80-90°f in mild winter and 135°f in summer 80-90°f ambant. Down in Las Vegas, Nevada it would read 113°f before starting, no plug.
Just .be shure if it is a remote (in-line instead of in the block) that its not over heating it self. A frind of mying hear in Montana, installed a remote on his full size Ford Bronco went in the heater line and had an internal Circ pump that failed . So now it will boils off the water and gets hot enough to burn the paint off the outside of the heater. I had expected convection to keep it supplied with -20°F water. But his heater core is a high point ,both lines go downhill to the engine trapping air in the unit

Do your fellow northerners use "parking heaters"? https://www.eberspacher.com/products...d-heaters.html
