I resoldered some pins and made an additional ground for the cluster. Then I climbed underneath and cleaned and reseated the speed sender at the tranny and bingo I have consistant speedo and odo function again. I've just got one headlight to fix and the aircon goes to zero pressure when the compressor comes on as repairs other than painting.
