Is it actually a F1 racing unit,or stylized version of a racing unit? The mounting stem in itself will shave some frontal area, however, the ball-socket,swivel- attachment(?) at the base, appears puny, and if road hammer knocks the thing out of alignment during driving, any benefit from drag reduction would be effected by the hassle (and danger ) of losing outward visibility. If you can get a hold of a unit and "bench-test" it with your bare hands, before you purchase, you may save yourself some grief later on.Nothing worse than great looking piece-o-crap!
