What I have done was disabled them completely. If you pull the parking brake lever up one click, the lights go out, but this leaves the "Brake" bulb illuminated on the dash. I put both seats all the way forward, removed the 2 screws holding the console and lifted it up. I then took the parking brake wire, loosened a mounting bolt, and grounded the wire to the bolt.

Like I said, this leaves the "Brake" bulb illuminated, so if your fluid goes low, you will not be aware of it. You could also yank out the bulb from the cluster to save energy for the "ElectroMetro".
