I'd like to do some testing with the Insight since it already has a sandwich plate coolant warmer installed on it. All I would need to do is crimp the line to see a with/without scenario to see how effective it really is.
Of course, I would need to add a sensor for measuring the coolant temperature. I think something like
this thermometer mounted in a modified oil pan drain plug would work nicely. Or, would it be good enough to just strap the sensor right to the bottom of the oil pan and tape some insulation around it? What do you guys think?
