Those numbers sound reasonable. At least what [some] market will bear for the product.

What I like about Hersbird's suggestion is that it follows the EVTV philosophy of repurposing OEM junkyard parts. Reverse engineering the CAN Bus control messages would be comparable to what they are doing with Tesla drivetrains; i. e. not trivial.

But a T-bucket [with maybe a GM v-6] could have a single header down one side of the body and the return air duct up the other. And a battery pack in an abbreviated pickup bed.
