They are held on by having a tight fitting hole over the turn signal and some clear tape to seal them to the bodywork.
They work well enough that my effective riding season is extended, and cost under $10 to make from coroplast I got from home depot.

I had something like that for my helix but made of plexiglass. I might just try that on my pcx. On a side note, I like your hand guards. I saw those on eBay, but didn't think they would fit. How do you like them?
