Tyler Wind Converter

Bio-mimicking nature to harvest the power of the wind, the Tyler Wind Converter. Their inspiration, the hummingbird. instead of blades they use wings. Tyer - Home
The flapping action converts the kinetic energy of the wind by using '3D Aouininan Kinematics,' mechanics converting of linear motion into a rotational/reciprocating motion. Invented by Anis Aouini, he imitated insect, marine and avian animals. They say it is an efficient capture of upstroke/downstroke with smaller swept area blades. The oscillating action creates less vortex and could allow higher density installation. Smaller it has a limited visual impact, less civil work costs and hardy survival in high wind velocities...OK...if they say so.

The Tyer Wind Converters are not available for sale, they have built working prototypes and are currently testing them in real world conditions.

...orchestral music and wheat fields always make me suspect.
