Thanx. The 2nd video is superior in that it shows the figure-8 motion involved more clearly. My question would be about swept area. It appears to be a rectangle smaller than a circle of the same width.
A Prantl-D airfoil might allow closer spacing despite the increased span due to reduced tip vortexes.
Also, it need eyes painted on the front of the nacelle like a Greek ship, to scare away the actual birds.
