Stealth/Removable Grille Block (MkV Jetta)

Using $4 worth of foam rubber weather stripping, I made a pretty much invisible, completely removable upper grille block. This was for the MkV Jetta that I just bought, but the general design should work for most cars (esp. any with horizontal grille slots that aren't too far apart).

For my particular grille, I needed four sections that were 10" long and three layers of weatherstripping tall; and four strips a single layer high. If you're copying this for your Jetta/Rabbit, remember that the top slot is the air intake.

These are just squished into the grille slots, so should I ever decide to tow a trailer through Death Valley CA in the summer I can just pull them right out.

Now to track my engine warm-up time with some A-B-A over the next week.
