I thought I was inspired by Art Deco locomotives, but that a pretty close match.

I'll bet aeroheqd squirrels away those pictures of the Chrysler 'batmobile'. Maybe Carl Breer's office produced the clay, but it was built on a Cord L-29 chassis, according to the fine article. The sightlines are terrible and it would have massive front end lift at 140mph.
