Here it is from another angle. It reminds me more of the movie Inception than a favela. It was likely inspired by Archigram's Plug-In City, minus the plug-in part. Once the units were stacked, they couldn't be unstacked.

I'm trying to think of something to bring this back on topic. Got nuthin'.
