I remember when a former neighbor traded his Honda CG 125 for a Honda XR 200 (the Brazilian model), and one of the first advantages he noticed was the comfort on poorly-mantained pavement and speedbumps.

I haven't heard about that shut-off of the rear cylinder to cool it down, and it doesn't make sense anyways. When it comes to overhead cams I don't really believe they're so great at all, but liquid-cooling is a must for any decent V-Twin with a transversely-oriented crankshaft unless the designers intended it to burn the legs of the rider.
