These were and still are quite popular, legs can be fitted to permit removal, however many would use a small crane to make it easier. Some who had a little extra cash would have a dedicated car and leave it fitted.

Many of these when stationary have a tent that attatches to the back to make the living space bigger and as the Saab had a good tow weight people would often drag a caravan around.
