In my country it used to be more usual to add an extra fuel injector to enrich the air/fuel ratio under boost, in a way that could be considered analogue to that water+methanol injection. Just not sure if that would allow for a leaner burn.
I prefer superchargers myself, but there simply is no room to put one under the good easily. If I removed the A/C, it would be easy, but I enjoy my comfort.

Your second paragraph confuses me, and I don't understand it, sorry .
