Hopefully your '92 is new enough that it isn't sensitive to voltage dips. I know my experiences with earlier OBD1 showed they didn't appreciate it. Ran poor and hurt mileage.
If you haven't already, clean your grounds and major electrical connections so you don't lose more voltage there. And maybe consider boosting voltage going to the ECU.
