Since I'm upgrading the main belly pan with slotted angle iron, I decided to upgrade the crossbeams as well. The metal stud reinforced wood crossbeams have served me well over the past 8 years.
Gitting measured up and ready fer cutting.
The new crossbeams will allow me to match up the bolt holes to the new main belly pan. This new setup will allow fer better torsional flex as each crossbeam is in two separate pieces. The side skirt bracket will only be bolted to one side of the crossbeam fer now. I'll fill in the crossbeam gap with some rubber baseboard. So far, it's an exact match fer the previous crossbeam.
